Kat Gioseffi, RN
Founder & Creator of VialView Organizer

With over a decade of experience as an Emergency Department nurse, Kat saw firsthand how disorganized, loose vial medications could slow care when time mattered most. Out of that frustration, she created VialView—a streamlined, intuitive medication organizer designed to help clinicians pull meds faster in critical situations.

Born at the bedside, VialView is a practical solution built to reduce delays and improve outcomes. Kat is passionate about innovation that supports frontline teams, putting patients first with every improvement.

We’re early in our journey—stay connected as VialView grows.

Streamlined Storage Solution

Designed to fit perfectly into Pyxis™ Cubie™ Pockets, the VialView Organizer reduces clutter and improves access to vials, creating a more organized and user-friendly system. The compact design ensures that storage space is maximized while keeping vials easily accessible.

How to Use the VialView Organizer

  1. Pull vials from right to left, starting with the front row.
  2. Remove the exact number of vials needed — the lowest number shown indicates how many remain, not which vial you’re on.
  3. Once all vials in a row are used, move back to the next row, again pulling right to left.
  4. Continue in this pattern: front to back, right to left.

💡 Tip: The numbers are printed inside each vial slot and only visible when empty — so you always know exactly how many vials remain at a glance.

Why Our Trays Start at Zero

We use zero-based numbering on our trays — meaning the count begins at 0, not 1. This small design choice makes a big difference in fast-paced settings.

Each number is printed inside the vial slot, so you only see it when the slot is empty. In postional numbering, if you see “6”, you’re looking at the slot for the 6th vial — and since it’s empty, you still have to think: that means 5 vials are left. We’ve already done that math for you.

With our system, the number you see is the actual number of vials remaining. If the tray shows 6, you know there are 6 vials left. If it shows 0, it’s empty. It’s one less thing to think about — which matters when every second counts.

Quick and Easy Vial Count

The VialView Organizer offers an efficient solution for managing vials in busy pharmacy and nursing environments. With its unique design, the tray displays vial quantities at a glance, ensuring that staff can quickly verify vial counts during critical moments. This reduces the time spent manually counting vials and eliminates the potential for errors, enhancing workflow efficiency and patient safety.

A Smarter Vial Storage Solution for Better Patient Care

By choosing the VialView Organizer, you're not just selecting a vial storage solution; you're improving workflow, reducing errors, and ensuring that your team can focus on what matters most—patient care.

Real-World Testing at URMC Hospitals, Launching Soon

The VialView Organizer is a patent pending system and is currently being trialed at two URMC hospitals, with enthusiastic feedback from both nursing and pharmacy teams. It’s scheduled to launch to the acute care market in 2025.
